Andy Hunthausen
Commissioner Hunthausen has served on the Lewis & Clark County Commission since 2007.
He has long-standing family roots in the Helena Valley and in Lewis & Clark County. Andy was born in Helena and raised in East Helena where his family has lived since 1960. He graduated from Helena High School in 1983, the University of Montana in Missoula in 1988 and from graduate school in 1993. Andy is married to Pam Ponich-Hunthausen. They have two sons Max and Ben.
Commissioner Hunthausen has a vision for Lewis & Clark County that includes: a balanced budget; a county staff that works hard to become more efficient and always looks for opportunities to serve the public better; a county where the citizens enjoy good health and have an improved quality of life; a county that experiences healthy, consistent and well-managed growth; a county that is a great place to work and play; and where good planning leads to a safe and productive community.
